Academic Innovation Conference 2024

In this session, we explore the benefits of creating integrated science lessons for middle school students. As part of our awarded AIM Grant, our seventh graders explored Newton’s Three Laws of Motion, the human body, and potential careers in an action rich STEM environment. Students applied their understanding of physics to the study of the human body to understand force and motion and the importance of body maintenance for a positive health mindset. They created simulated LinkedIn profiles and hosted a Family Night to showcase their learning. The power of community partnerships enabled us to reach our Gear-Up goals and encourage our students to continue their education after high school.
