I have been a social studies and science teacher at Heritage Middle School, in Burke County, for the past 24 years. Also, I have been involved with Destination Imagination (DI) since 1989. DI is an international student centered competitive S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics) program that places a strong emphasis on creative problem solving. Attending this session, you will learn what DI is all about, its educational benefits, how my teams did this season through the A.I.M.
